Obituary for Colleen Ryan White
Colleen Ryan “Connie” White, 88, of Winchester, died Monday, March 18, 2019.
Mrs. White was born January 9, 1931 in Winchester; the daughter of the late Robert R. and Mary Haymaker Ryan.
She was a 1949 graduate of John Handley High School. She retired as the administrative assistant to the Dean of Students at VPI.
She married Leroy F. White, Jr. on January 3, 1952. Mr. White preceded her in death on May 16, 2016.
She is survived by three brothers, Robert Scott Ryan, Sr. , John Allen Ryan and Jack Maddox Ryan all of Winchester; and a sister, June Ryan Miller of Winchester. She was preceded in death by her son, Mark K. White and three sisters, Betty Hill, Jean Drumheller, and Patricia Ryan.
The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Jones Funeral Home in Winchester.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Mount Hebron Cemetery.
