Darryl Edward “Pete” McDavid, 56 of Ranson, WV, passed away at his home on July 28, 2019. After battling a long illness, his soul can finally be at peace.
Darryl was born on February 5, 1963 in Manassas, VA, the son of the late Elizabeth Anne (Caylor) McDavid and Louis Edward McDavid. Being a Loudoun County native, he was a member of the graduating class of 1981 at Loudoun County High School. He worked most of his life in the grocery industry for Giant Foods in Leesburg, VA and Food Lion in Charles Town, WV. He loved his family, his beagle Eeyore, holidays, horror films, gardening and was a huge Barbra Streisand fan.
Darryl is survived by three sisters; Dianna McDavid of Winchester, Darla Painter of Rippon and Tina Murphy of Stephens City and one brother-in-law, Scott Edmonds of Charles Town. He was Uncle Pete to Jamie, Brian, Jessie, Sherri, Andrew, Ryan, Evelyn, Alice, Lee Lee, Abel & Jaxon. He is also survived by many cousins including Linda & Dave.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Dee Dee Edmonds & nephew Danny Campbell.
At his request, there will not be a formal memorial service. A celebration of life gathering will be scheduled at a later date.
