Obituary for Iona Marie "Marie" Shifflett (Swisher)
Marie Swisher Shifflett of Winchester, died March 31, 2019 with her family by her side at Evergreen Health and Rehab Center.
Marie was born in Clear Brook, VA; the daughter of the late Vestal and Mary Richards Swisher.
She married Warren E. Shifflett August 4, 1961 in Hagerstown, MD. He preceded her in death January 25, 1986.
Marie is survived by her daughter, Roxanne Marie Palmer (Bob) of Milton, NC; son, Anthony Edward Shifflett of Winchester; sisters, Margaret Clowser of Winchester and Ruth Wenger of Akron, PA; two grandchildren ; three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her brothers, Cecil Swisher and Cledith Swisher, and her sister Rebecca VanMeter.
There will be a funeral service Friday, April 5, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Shenandoah Memorial Park with Pastor Rocky Hambrick officiating. A visitation will be one hour prior.
