Obituary for Jeannette Marie Lloyd (Dove)
Jeannette Dove Lloyd, of Winchester, VA, died Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Greenfield Reflections of Strasburg.
She was born February 10, 1933 in Philadelphia, PA, the daughter of the late Frances Dove Smith and granddaughter of Ernest and Agnes Dove.
She was a member of the Virginia Nurses Association and a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church. Jeannette worked at Winchester Memorial Hospital; after her retirement from the hospital, she then went on to become Dr. Joe Dameron Sr.’s nurse assistant for many years.
Jeannette married Francis Leon Lloyd, Sr, May 29, 1953 in Woodstock, VA. He preceded her in death January 21, 2016.
She is survived by her sons, Francis L. Lloyd, Jr. and his wife Denise DuBose of Knoxville, TN and Richard Lloyd and his wife Sandy of Strasburg, VA; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughters, Kimberly Anne Lloyd and Cynthia Gail Lloyd.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 14, 2019 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home.
A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, March 15, 2019 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church with Father Lundberg officiating. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum in Mt. Hebron Cemetery.
