Obituary for Kenneth Edward "Kenny" Barr
Kenneth “Kenny” Edward Barr, 78, of Winchester, VA died Sunday, April 21, 2019.
Kenny was born August 17, 1940 in Winchester; son of the late William Joseph and Charlotte Singhass Barr. He was a brick mason. Kenny was a member of the Winchester Moose and Blue Ridge Grace Brethren Church.
He married Susan Louise Haymaker, July 8, 1961 in Boyce, VA.
Along with his wife he is survived by his son, Dale Stover Barr (Lori) of Winchester; grandson, Mathew Stover Barr (Lexie) of Charlotte, NC; granddaughter, Jennifer Elizabeth Barr (Reece Scruggs) of Winchester; sisters, Mary Elizabeth Cox of Stephenson, VA and Collette Gano of Harpers Ferry, WV; niece, Delana Purtlebaugh of Cross Junction and nephew, Johnny Cox of Stephenson.
He was preceded in death by his brother William Wardell Barr.
A funeral service will be held Friday, April 26, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Jones Funeral Home, Winchester with Pastor Davey Ermold officiating. The family will receive friends beginning one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the service at Mount Hebron Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Blue Ridge Grace Brethren Church, 1025 Cedar Creek Grade, Winchester, VA 22602.
