Teresa A. Brown passed away peacefully on November 26, 2019 at the age of 84 at Spring Arbor Assisted Living under the care of Blue Ridge Hospice.
Teresa was born in Winchester, VA on March 7, 1935 the daughter of the late Leonard W. Brown, Sr. and Lorilla H. Brown.
Teresa is preceded in death by her sister, Charlotte M. Levi and her brother, Leonard W. Brown, Jr.
She is survived by her loving and devoted brother-in-law, Thomas W. Levi of Frederick County.
Teresa was employed at Novick Transfer and Hemingway Transport with 21 years of service. She was then employed with First American Bank, Sysorex, and United Bank retiring after nearly 20 years of service. Prior to her illness, she was a receptionist at Frederick County Administration, in that position from 2005-2018.
A member of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Teresa served on the parish Council of Catholic Women and was an active member of the Adoration Chapel since its beginning in 1995.
A member of the Women of the Moose, Teresa achieved her degrees of the Academy of Friendship, Star Recorder and College of Regents.
A Rosary Service will be conducted on Monday evening at 6:00 pm with a visitation to follow until 8:00 pm at Jones Funeral Home in Winchester.
A Funeral Mass will be conducted on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at 11:00 am at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church with Rev. Stephen Holmes officiating. Burial will be in the family plot at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Mike Mauzy, Tom Dowell, Stoney Crosen, Ann Boyd, and Jerry Boyd.
At Teresa’s request, in lieu of flowers, please donate in her memory to the Building Fund of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, the American Heart Fund, American Diabetes and Blue Ridge Hospice.
